Podcasts, Digital Story Telling and Fun Apps

Podcasts, Digital Story Telling and Fun Apps!!

After our VITTA PD session with Jo this week I have been having fun listening to different Podcasts including: Ed Tech Crew (who sound as though they have been sped up because they speak so fast!), Virtual classroom and the Mac Cast. I have also experimented with the website called "Little Bird Tales" which I think will be a great digital story telling website for 1/2G to explore during Literacy groups next term. Finally I have spent some time reading up about an app/website called "Class Dojo" which would be a great behavioural management tool to use on my iPad as I am wandering around the classroom. I am sure the students would love the different characters/avatars that you can attach to their names! However I can't find the "Class DoJo" app in the Australian App Store so I am wondering if it is only available in the U.S. at the moment? If any one can solve this mystery for me please let me know?

  1. I havn't been able to find a 'class DoJo' app yet either, but I believe you can set it up to use your ipad to control the website up on your IWB. I am looking forward to investigating this further in our teaching and learning partnership as well as some new ipad apps!
